My Dad would have wanted that camper. He even had one of those scooters. But then again, he was a bit eccentric. He drove around town in golf cart he modified to include a trailer hitch and a roof rack. He used the roof rack to bring lumber home from OSH. The hitch was used to pull a trailer that had his scooter on it. He tried installing one of those lifts you see on the back of cars but the weight of it and the scooter bottomed out the golf cart. He also made a plexiglass and wood body around the thing, a wooden trunk like on cars from the 30's, and ran a propane heater in winter.
All of his vehicles were "customized". He screwed pretty much anything you can think of to them. To this day anytime I want to add something to our camper, my wife says no. She is afraid I will turn it into one of my Dad's vehicles.
Ted, we really enjoyed the photos of your dad. We see a lot of these rigs running up and down our "main street" here up in the hills. Back in the old days when there was much more log truck traffic, things could get really exciting around here.
