Ran into two wanderers at Great Basin. Ted and Monte. It is a small world.

Indeed it is. Any chance you were in the Steens Mountain area a week ago? I saw a van (CA plates) similar to yours at Page Springs.
Not us. We were at Bob Scott our first night. Still at Great Basin tonight. Utah tomorrow.

So that's where Ted and Monte have been hiding.

Well, the Ski3pins have been hiding out for a while. We went to GBNP knowing they would be coming home that way soon. So meeting up with them was mostly planned. But having BIll and Veronica take a campsite right across from us was pure coincidence. And later another WTW member with an ATC came by to check out the Ski3pin's ATC. It was practically an accidental WTW rally!

That's always nice to have an impromptu gathering.
Hope you all had a great time.

Our friends, The Teds, receive our "camped here for the night" InReach messages and knew we were finally turning back west and toward home and worked out a strategy to intercept. It was wonderful to find them encamped in Baker Creek Campground in Great Basin National Park when we arrived. And it was especially nice to have an excellent vacant site available next to them. The next day Julie and I went on a hike up to near 10,000 feet to find aspen sporting splendid fall colors. We returned to delightfully find billharr (Bill and Veronica) camped across from us. It was great fun. To top it off, as Ted noted above, we met Wander the West member Grvlrdr with her new All Terrain Camper that was delivered in June. Sarah, it was great to meet and chat with you. We hope you have years of happy camping and great adventures. Ted and Donna, and Bill and Veronica, thanks so much for your friendship and wonderful company.
