Help, my photo is too large

I would like to upload a profile photo that I took on my Motorola phone. When I try to upload it, I keep getting an error message that my photo is too large- around 3.5 MB. Any thoughts on how to shrink it to the 50 kb max? And yes, I am technology challenged...

Are you uploading straight from the phone?
Try downloading to your photo spot on the computer,than you can select a smaller size.
Than export to desktop,than post from there.
Also tech challenged,but uploading from the computer works for me.

I saved the photo from my phone to the computer before trying to upload it. I also tried selecting a smaller size, but it was still too large. I'll keep working on it.

Bob, I have apple and use the medium size JPEG to post photos and can post about 4/5 at a time.
