We came across a set of those in the dust this fall on the rim of Arch Canyon in southern Utah. Seemed like a good time to move in the opposite direction.

Maybe it's a cousin of the s "saber toothed cat",the pocket knife cat.

A couple of years ago we set up our tents just as it was getting dark north of Catavina and set off in search of firewood. The next morning on my bathroom walk I found our footprints from the night before with big kitty tracks on top of them.
