Stan I want to paint the floor pack of my '04 Hawk. What type of exterior paint is on there oil or water based? Thanks.

The PO of my Hawk used some marine paint on the exterior bottom portion ( I believe that is what you're asking about). It seems to be holding up well. I can check what it was that they used. He gave me the rest of the can for touchups etc.

Hi Jay,

Seems like they whiff some marine paint on the wood. I have painted three campers. Mine I used polyurethane floor enamel. The next two I used polyurethane floor oil. I matched the color of the truck with off the shelf color. Just used a brush and put on two or three coats. Mine has been on since 2001 and still looks great.
