Truck Camper Adventure just did a story on a new start up company in Florida that's building aluminum truck campers. The frames are NOT welded. They are using aircraft type construction techniques and are said to be super light - dry weights as low as 1200 lbs on some models.
"The company employs mostly aircraft techs and assemblers, along with workers from the yacht/marine industry, so build quality is all but ensured."
