I just re-installation Jack's and unloaded the camper for the winter. I noticed rust and a a white corrosive like substance on the Jack's. When I ran my hand over the surface it was like coarse sandpaper. I was thinking of using steel wool or sandpaper and then applying rust paint. I'm concerned the jack legs might not raise or lower and if the paint comes off it might clog the internal mechanism. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I have painted the disks and 1"-2" up the jack to keep the bases protected. jd

John,

Check the Reico website. I suspect they are going to recommend removing the corrosion with a Scotch Brite pad, clreaning things thoroughly, then applying a paste wax. I believe that is what HappiJac recommends as well. On the painted surfaces, just remove and repaint.

Thanks. I will check out their site later today. [emoji4]
