My wife's family is from this area and we are going to try to be up there in May 2013. She still has lots of cousins that she has not seen in a long time. Annes G-Grand father came over from Scotland in the early 1800 to work for the Hudsons Bay co her grand father also work for them.
I figure it will take 4/6 weeks to make the round trip what with the visiting and all.
The May timing is to try and avoid the bugs, any latter get very annoying. I worked just south of this area in the 60s so have some idea what its like. Short period between bugs, snow and very cold. We are from Hope after all where winter last 6 weeks or so.
We are quite use to the longer trip with the Alaskan having been to Baja a couple of times. It should be an adventure. All thing being equal and the creek don't rise of course.
