Jumping Jehosaphats !

I had no idea that camper was still around. Been seeing it pop-up on and off for years, maybe even a decade or two.

So fuel wise.... does s/he have to tow a tanker car for inflight refueling? what 4mpg? tops?
With those costs ...wouldn't it behove one who has that kinda dough to buy something "better"?

That's funny you should mention that... a longtime friend of mine built one of those in the late 60's early 70's and drove east with it ... ya it broke down as the axils/bearings/frame etc were fried. It weighed a lot. He left the whole shebang somewhere in Kansas and hitched east where I met him. He came from Huntington beach. We are still friends and he still has no idea about those details like weight to stress ratios but it sure did look good.

Good thing it has that front overhang, to balance the rear overhang. I wonder if it uses Z-rated tires!
