I just thought I'd give an update on my painting of the wood on my 2001 FWC Eagle since there's been a lot of conversation about what to use, etc. I had the same questions, etc. but I went with what was recommended by ATC.

I used Glidden Flat Exterior Paint. Color was Cool Metalwork and it matched almost perfectly. Easy to do and I think I put 3 coats on. I painted the underside of the camper too.

It's a good maintenance thing to do and when I bought my camper a few years ago, it had never been out of the truck it was originally installed on. Bottom and sides were in ok condition but now looks like new.

That's nice. I'm sure your FWC feels all that much more loved because of it.

This was also a great opportunity for you inspect for any potential damage on the eyebolts etc.
I'm glad it worked out so well for you.

When I purchased my FWC in 2014, the FWC paint recipe at that time was Frazee Royal Supreme (base) and a mildew additive...
