Noob Electrical Question

Hey,

I am wondering if I can use the FWC plug inside my bed to power a 12V fridge when I don't have the camper in? Would it be as simple as adding a trolling plug to a 12V receptacle? Am I missing something?

Can I just wire an Attwood Connector and 12V together?

I don't see why not. Double check the polarity first.

Pax, I would put a battery into that mix. Use the camper connection to charge the battery, run the fridge from the battery. Keep things cold when the engine is off. I'd also make sure you can't run the truck battery down.

Thanks for the replies! I was just thinking for a quick fix but the battery idea is pretty good.
