The Bride and I finally got some time off from the “move” chaos, and did a little trip through the Baker Valley and Elk Horn Mountains. Beautiful scenery, with the larch trees turning color and dropping their needles. In places, the shoulders were paved in gold by the fallen foliage.

Here are a couple of shots of the backside of the Anthony Lakes area.

It was nice to take a day away from the house.

Beautiful Steve. Is this area close to your new house?

Frank, thank you! The photos are from an area about 25 mile NW of us. A few miles due west (I think) of the Anthony Lakes Ski Area.

Did you drive the tractor up there? :)

Sorry, couldn't help myself. Sure looks nice Mr. Sage. We bet you two are really enjoying a day off!

Of course we did... Diana and the pups got the catbird seat.

Really nice trip report Steve. Love those larch trees! (But I just don't know if you can bring yourself to slaughter Arnold the pig when the time comes. He could become a family friend!)

Tony, Arnold is our three legged pet hog...

I was told you shouldn’t eat a good hog all at once.
