We had roughly 20 people show up at Moore Creek Campground on the North Mokelumne River off of highway 88. It was several days of good food and good company and I'd like to thank everyone that showed up!

When I woke up on the second day I found that I had picked up a couple buddies:

Omelettes, potatoes, and bacon (of course):

Marc contacted some fellow Germans that are on a multi-year trip around the world and they decided to show up and join the fun. Rudi and Rita were great company and it was great to meet them! You can read about their adventures at Menrad International

Their rig was quite impressive:

The next morning I discovered that my flamingo infestation had intensified:

Just getting started with the roast:

We started out with the pit too hot so the big got foiled for the first couple hours:

This is a view of the entire operation - main pit, charcoal prep pit, and dutch oven pit for Marc's excellent beans:

This was Marc's first pig roast but he pulled it off in style:

I thought this scene looked familiar. Bob from Colorado last year :D

It was revealed later that XPCamper was actually a subsidiary of the ATC empire:

ATC is building all kinds of crazy stuff these days:

And that's all folks! Big thanks to XPMarc for bringing the food and being lead chef. Thanks to original Marc for being the assistant chef. Thanks to Cort for bringing the kegs and being the rotisserie motor. You guys are awesome!

It sure was a fun event and looking forward to the next one.
The pig was an experiment turned out pretty good and using that new aluminum Dutch oven worked better than I thought.

Gootimes for sure DD. It seems like every rally we take it up a notch. Kudos to all involved that made this one the success it was. Till next time, cheers

I have to ask....what's with the flamingos?

Some joker was planting them there in the middle of the night.

Great greasy pigs Batman! The only thing more impressive then the MAN expedition rig is that amazing whole pig. I won't miss another one of those trips. Hopefully there will be another.

Interesting truck there for the German folks....guess they've had quite the roadtrip:
