I have a 2008 hawk and have noticed the factory water/battery monitor does not work. The display is but but the lights don't change on the status of the tank or the battery monitor. It is always in the empty on both displays. Seems to me like a possible electrical issue or a sensor issue.

I tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything?

Anyone have any ideas. I use the Victron Battery monitor so not a big deal when montioring battery life but I do like I having the water tank monitor so I know when it is time to top off.

Best,

Luke

I had same problem.

I have a 2021 Grandby Front Dinette.

Took it into FWC. It was a ground wire to water tank. They replaced/upgraded wire to tank

Monitor Wiring . . .

The best I can tell from talking to the shop guys, these are what the wires should go to . . .

RE: KIB Monitor Panel

RED = POWER + (FUSE BLOCK)

WHITE = GROUND –

PURPLE = WATER PUMP

BLUE = WATER TANK

Until you get it fixed, an easy way to determine the tank water level if you can’t see the tank wall is to put a piece of vinyl or surgical tubing on the tank drain spigot on the rear wall and open the spigot with the open end of the tube held up high. The level of water in the tube will show the tank level. If you only have opaque tubing, lower the tube slowly until water starts to come out, indicating the tank level.

Danged fizzlists. :D

Thanks all. I will take a look at the wiring and report back. Here is a photo of the monitor.

Sig, when you say, same problem, do you mean just the bottom two lights on?

My concern is that my tank is hard to access.

It’s been a while but I recall regardless of water level when I pushed button only one light lit up.

Stan, this actually looks to be a JRV model monitor. They seem out of business.

After some testing, and replacing of wires, I think the circuit board might be bad. Looking for a plug and play upgrade.

Looks like JRV "MicroMonitor" is a clone. https://nationwiderv.myshopify.com/products/jrv-fresh-water-tank-monitor-black

Has anyone done a SeeLevel II tank monitor? You can get levels in % as well as propane % which to me might be kind of a cool upgrade.
