With the sun still a few hrs. from the horizon, and the rig fueled up and ready to go, the co-piolt and I hit the hwy. for what was going to be an epic trip. Day one called for a 10 hr. drive up to Mendo from S. Cal, followed by a rendezvous at shelter Cove to meet up with Jon and some fellow Wanderers for the first annual Pigapalooza, then back to Mendo to meet up with some old friends for some diving and riding , with the last few days spent driving down hwy 1. The weather was pretty nice for the whole trip with just minimal rain. Unfortunately I for got to recharge the camera batteries so I have no pics of the pig fest but I think DD and Deltarat took care of that in their trip reports. First shot is of day ones camp at the Wardens house followed by a pic of the horse that thought he was going to try and throw me , NOT and a shot of Dylan and his new Possie.

The morning after the Pigfest found us stopping by our gracious hosts compound for a look at his race car and assorted toys. I have to say Jon, no matter what he does, does it right the first time. Here is a pic of Jon's baby Bo.

From Jon's we started working our way South with the next couple of days spent relaxing with friends with a little Ab diving thrown in. This was the first time I had dove in this area since I had lived up here and a diver lost his head to a GW about five years ago :eek::eek:. From Ft. Bragg/Mendo we were off to Bodega Bay via Hwy 1 and the Old Coast Road. The following pics are from the Old Coast Road, followed by are Campsite in Bodega Bay, Dylan swimming and a Fishing Boat shot for the Fisherman.

From Bodega Bay we headed to Pismo Beach and spent the night at Oceano State Park and camped right on the beach. This was the first time that I camped here and although it was quite nice with minimal people, I can see how this place could get pretty crazy on the weekends.

Once again I would like to thank our gracious host "Jon", aka the Fisherman for hosting a Great event.

Good to see you again at the fest Marc. And sorry again about the feet! Are the skin grafts going OK?
