I have a little problem with the forward lifter unit on my 86 Keystone.
The thin wood veneer and support is bowed outward, and the wood itself is cracking.
As shown in the exterior shot, the front of the canvas appears convex...bowed out.
As a result, the metal "helper" arm doesn't latch into it's tab (thus the red bird whistle cord).

Not to worry?
Fix it before it goes any farther?
How to fix?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Wow...someone's gonna score.
If not me, still interested in how to shore up/fix the front lift mechanism.

ALSO, has anyone changed out a water tank?
How much of a hair-do is that job?

Thanks...

Thanks for the link, Mark.
I wasn't using the right search terms to find that.
Work looks over my head, so I guess I'll just treat it gingerly until it pops?
Then maybe a run to the 4WC mothership for the repair.

On mine the water tank looks like it would be a pretty simple job. Of course I've thought that before when I wound up bleeding a cussing over a "simple" project :)

thanks for the reference to my link Mark, would have helped out but just got back from weekend camping and fishing, and the fishing was great, but let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
