Replacing my front lift panels

Hello,

I will be replacing my front lift panels this weekend. The wood is delaminating from the rivets on the top and bottom which is cutting into the vinyl. I have researched the "how to" thread and will tackle the beast in the morning. I`m going to reuse the piano hinge because I have`nt done my due diligence in order to find a new one. If anyone has any advice beyond what I have read in the forums, it would be greatly appreciated!!!! One of my concerns is how to attach the elastic band which assists in pulling the vinyl inward upon closing the roof???? I will document the process and post pictures upon completion.

There is a thread out there on doing this. The person who did it used velcro on the straps so he did not have to pop in a new rivet.

Yep, velcro seems to be working so far, even though we were not very pretty with our stitching.

It starts out on page 4 and most of it is on page 5 of this thread.
