After burying this newish Chevy Van up to the Axle in front of Alfonsina's (how did that happen?) it took a heavy duty front loader with giant tires to save the van from the rising tide.

Must have been gringos. I've seen mexicans in clapped out 2wd trucks pull boats up that beach.
Had they aired down?
