Solar for the Hawk

I have the 2014 Hawk on a 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. I had the top and back solar plugs installed.
I'm in the process of installing two 100 Watt Renogy solar panels (framed), 500 amp shunt, Tri Metric battery system monitor, and the SC-2030 solar charge controller. I have all of the above installed except for the solar panels. I'm waiting for a warmer day for that. Question I have is does the FWC inverter need to be attached to the shunt? What I have attached to the shunt now:
Left side Right side
Negative from batteries Truck alternator negative
Wire from Tri Metric Solar charge controller negative
Wires from Tri Metric
The Tri Metric is giving me readings although I haven't programmed it yet. This is going to be much better than the four light system for battery status.
Thanks in advance for the help. I won't get back to the forum till this evening.

The shunt needs to be between the batteries and everything else (Tri-Metric wires excluded, wire that per their instructions).

Can I see a picture of the inverter getting connected to the shunt? I was not aware of that connection.

Also, regarding connecting the solar controller to the shunt, is that just a new wire the you connected to the negative solar connection to the small screw on the shunt? What size wire did you use?

If things are getting crowded on the shunt terminal, get a Power Post or Bus Bar for tying your negative connectors. These are the same brand that FWC uses for the fuse panel and are marine quality. They are available from West Marine, Amazon and many boating supply houses.

From the Power Post or Bus Bar, go to the shunt then to the battery. While an extra expense,it enhances safety and reduces trouble shooting spaghetti wiring and loose connections.

DonC,
I don't have a photo to share at the moment of the inverter connection. After accessing the inverter I disconnected the negative wire at he inverter and replaced that with the same gauge wire (12) and connected that to the right side of the shunt. Not easy on my Hawk to get at the inverter.
I used a new 8 gauge wire from the negative connection on the solar charger to right side of the shunt. The only wires connected to the screws on the top of the shunt were from the Tri-Metric monitor.
