I am slowly learning the details of my recently acquired '09 Hawk (side couch). There is a rectangular piece of 1/8" thick plywood with 4 corner D-Ring attachments stored on top of the water tank (see attached). Does anybody know what this thing is used for?

Mine came with that, too. Seems like it was used as a mount to stow, secure, the pedestal table... As I recall.

Looks like I was mistaken. When I bought my Grandby, if I remember correctly, the pedestal leg was just left rolling around behind the couch.

We also have the same panel lying on top of the water tank in our 2007 FWC Keystone. I assume the D rings were intended to secure something - maybe the table pedestal column? We don't use the table so never have tried to store the pedestal column.

Bottom line - I think it came from the factory that way.

That thin board is usually stowed over the water tank.

Originally it had two small bungee cords to secure the 3-piece portable table leg to it.
