Is anyone using the Front Runner Cargo Rails(short or long) or the Special Ind. Supplies brand rails in the FWC? Any feedback on the look or design? pros or cons? Pics would be great.

I have two applications:
1. I took out the rear seats in my DCLB Taco and am building a platform for storage. I will use the rails to tie down storage boxes, etc.

2. Fleet Shell- need a way to secure surfboards on top of the folded down dinette.

Options:
(maybe there are less expensive options out there?)

https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/us/storage-systems/lashing-and-securing/front-runner-cargo-rail.html
-this one seems to be the cleanest looking but the price tag is higher

-better priced than above, comes with loops

-most flexibility for having multiple anchor points and comes with loops

thanks!

Subscribed. I have been looking at these for a possible anchors for my fridge and securing storage boxes on the floor of my Fleet shell.

I bought some of these to install in the camper and/or in the back of my Tacoma where I removed the seats and installed a cargo platform. However, they installed this same system in a Sprinter van I use at work, and if the rings aren't loaded they rattle like crazy on rough roads. For that reason I never got around to installing the stuff I bought . In retrospect I think footman loops and NRS straps will work better anyway.

For reference, it is called "L-track" or "airline track" as it was used to mount seats with adjustable seat pitch on airlines. Tons of companies manufacture/sell it, probably for less than frontrunner.

Thank's Rando. Makes me second guess my rear cargo platform set up and saves money.

I found these on Amazon. Via Cargo Control. Very low profile and smooth base, the tie down is spring loaded and can be removed when not needed. 20180512_160345.jpeg20180512_160657.jpeg20180512_160642.jpeg20180512_160639.jpeg
