Using existing holes, I bolted a beefy aluminum plate onto the rear jack mount on my Hawk. I then mounted my Handyman jack onto this plate using two 1/2 inch bolts. Is the Handyman jack too heavy for this FWC jack mount? Should I ask Stan at FWC?

BTW, the Handyman jack is about 6-10 pounds heavier than the FWC jack.

If the math works out, that is a really good idea. How long is the metal bar? Did you cut it down to size?

Considering that the jack holds a quarter of the weight of the camper when extended I would say the 7 or so pounds you are over on the plate is okay :)

I think you'll be fine. Although the jack is loading the plate in a downward direction whereas the jacks load it upward

Completed this project. The Handyman jack weighs 24 lbs; the stock FWC jack weighs 21 lbs. Basically, there is very little difference in the weights of these jacks, so I should't have any issues.

The first pics shoes the bracket I made, and the other pics show the Handyman mounted to the camper.
