RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC mattresses are bricks...

Picked up a three-inch memory foam topper from Costco. We use the topper on top of the factory cushions. We have a Fleet and can't put the top down with the topper on, so we fold the topper into thirds, and stow it on top of the kitchen area while we travel. With the top down, it's wedged in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Installing roof tracks

My 2016 Fleet's roof is slightly arched or curved, lower in the front and back. The Yakima tracks I have installed follow this curve. Depending on how rigid the 80/20 is, you might end up flattening the roof. I'm not sure how the curved roof is engineered, but it might be something to consider.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water in a Shell

Outside kitchen! That’s what we do. All kitchen activity is outside. We might boil some water for coffee in the morning and make some sandwiches for lunch inside. Any cooking or dishwashing is outside. We have a few small dish tubs and a gallon or so of water to wash with. Pretty simple and easy...

Flippac or Summit meet your requirements - large bed over cab and large rear opening. They both offer full width between the wheel wells. https://adventuretrailers.com/campers/campers-summit-truck-topper/summit-pictures-video/ I can't find a flippac website. not sure they are still in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Minimum clearance to remove camper inside garage

Dolly is your friend in this situation. Even if you did get the camper off in the garage, I'd be surprised if you could get the camper back on the truck. I've always had to raise my Fleet a bit higher when I back my Tacoma under it. It's a really tight fit. When loading the Fleet, it always...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solarblvd out of business and flexible panel recommendation?

In June 2017, I purchased a flexible solar panel from Solarblvd.com. Panel is still working great! I wanted to purchase a second flexible panel I can use portable. I tried going to the website. It's down. I also attempted to email Michael@solarblvd.com. Email bounced. Any recommendations for a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tacoma Composite bed mounting brackets

These are the brackets from FWC. Steel is about 1/4" or 3/8". As you can see, the brackets use existing bolts as mount points. For my previous FWC camper, my brother and I welded up brackets. Here's how they came out. Same thickness.
