I use a bed mat under my camper and have no moisture problems. No creaking or groaning noises either but then again I'm half deaf.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West solar panel

I agree that a 3 way fridge on 12v power draws way too many amps. Also when I had my 3 way I found it wouldn't cool from ambient on 12v power. I needed to use 110v or propane. 12v was used only to keep it cool while driving.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water filters

I'm using city water through a garden hose and it tastes fine. I do flush the hose first and drain the tank after each trip. I flush the system with a little bleach after it's had Baja water in it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New FWC Hawk Options - Now vs Later?

I got the second fantastic fan over the bed and use it more than the one over the sink. Good for sleeping on a hot night. My camper has the velcro for the arctic pack even thought I don't have the arctic pack. The Yakima tracks are screwed into the framing. With the new one piece roof the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hidden storage space

I have a Granby with a water heater and discovered that there was a decent space between the cabinet face and the heater. I cut a hole in the cabinet and built a door to allow access to the space. Enough room for a frying pan and my paper plates, bowls and cups.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Goblin Valley Rock pushed over!

I saw on the news tonight that the jerk doing the pushing has a disability lawsuit pending. This video probably will not help his case. Then again it could be a metal disability.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Constant running 2 way Dometic 80L frig.

I had the same problems after installing my Truckfridge. The compressor was running too often and sucking down the batteries. The Truckfridge was a tight fit in the cabinet and I didn't think there was enough air flow across the condenser coils. I installed a vent through the side of the cabinet...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Funky readings from the monitor panel

The combo meter leadsled has is homemade. He added a digital voltmeter to his monitor panel. There was a thread on this mod a couple of years ago. This meter doesn't have to be mounted to the monitor. I put mine on the cabinet face.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Stranded in Death Valley

It seems that if you do enough research to find a statue in Mojave, a specific joshua tree and the James Dean corner you would at least look at a Death Valley map. I hope Betsy dumped the idiot.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar and 2 batteries last less than 3 days?

I'm having the same problem with my system which is a Truckfridge TF130, 100W solar and 2 blue top batteries. This is not a factory installed system but it should be similar to yours. I'm good for a couple of days until the voltage drops too low. I believe your temperature fluctuations might be...

I'm having the same problem with my Truckfridge TF130 running off 2 blue tops with a 100W panel and Morningstar MPPT controller. I'm good for a couple of days before the voltage gets too low. Not a problem unless I'm camping more than a couple of days in one place. I have the Morningstar monitor...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West front loading vs top loading

jlrray, I had the same fit issues you did with the width. I ended up removing the round head screws in the cabinet L brackets, countersinking the bracket holes and using flat head screws. To hold the fridge in place I followed MarkBC's post and drilled and screwed the lower hinge brackets. I...
