RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Need some help on overhead cabinets

Every so often you can find an Alaskan being parted out. I think I would keep an eye for it and buy the storage bins already built. Hey Doc, that's a great idea adding lights to it.

I'm looking for a 10ft Alaskan, either CO or NCO. I'm okay if it needs work, just as long as it is not trashed. Thanks. Joe

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New to me NCO Alaskan

Welcome BlueGhost93, what year is your Alaskan? I have a 1972 and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. Teknomad, that is an awesome rebuild you did on yours. Very impressive!!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electrical problem

I'm not sure but I would take each receptacle and light that isn't working off and examine it to make sure you didn't lose a connection. Possibly, one of your receptacles has gone bad. You don't have a GFI receptacle do you?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Q. on upgrades

Thanks doc, that's a lot of good info. What I am presently using as a fridge is a Walmart dorm fridge that I have set on top of my counter that's above the existing refrigerator. It's 110 volts and it does a really good job. I have used a Mr Buddy propane heater in previous years when I worked...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Q. on upgrades

Hello everybody. I have been camping in my 1972 10-ft NCO for the past month while I am working out of town. Every time I go out of town I always use my camper because I dislike hotel rooms and this has been a blessing to me. I'm wanting to upgrade the refrigerator because it has never worked...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Pump is skirting oil

Sorry for the late response, but you all are correct, I had overfilled the pump. I filled it to the top like I had always done before with the camper down so this was the first time it had done this. Anyway, it's working fine now. I appreciate all the help!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Pump is skirting oil

Heading out early tomorrow morning, as I was finishing up getting my 72 10' NCO cleaned up I added hydraulic oil as it was low. When I lowered the camper, oil started spurting out from the cap on top of the pump. This is the silver cap that you unscrew to add oil into the pump. I know the cap is...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West done with the traditional Dometic 3 way.

I still have my original frig. It was working fine last summer but for some reason, it has stopped. I have 110v going through to the controls but not sure if something is burned out or not? I'm really needing it now but I guess a cooler is better than nothing. The frig is very small too. Not...

Nice find fesser. I sold my 8ft NCO (it didn't have upper cabinets either) and regretted it. Then I looked all over and finally found a 10' NCO and love the extra room--and upper cabinets.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Two-Pin 12-Volt connector pin?

I know this is an old post so I apologize if this isn't allowed. I have a cord just like what PackRat posted but I don't know how it is suppose to be hooked up. Does the 4 pin socket plug into the truck? I know the 2 pin socket plugs into the side of the camper. What about the plug that looks...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West A couple questions...

I'm not sure what those are for. I think they may have been added by previous owners. I had a bracket attached to the outside of mine by the door. Thought long and hard what it was for, finally gave up and contacted the PO and he said he installed it himself a few years back to support his TV...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Using an utility trailer

Hey another update. I just came home tonight with a used tandem axle utility trailer. It's 16ft long, got a great deal on it. My Alaskan is sitting on my 68 Ford f250. One of my sons who is in college is coming home this week to help me lift it off the 68 and put it on the utility trailer. My...
