Last week I spoke with Brian at Alaskan and told him about the CO I bought. He said that for a temporary solution to securing it to the truck, it was perfectly acceptable to use ratchet straps (not too tight) attached to from the cabover support to the truck frame between the bed an the cab.
What I learned is that some cabovers have a triangular support (see attached photo) and some have a bar support. Ratchet straps could easily connect to those with bar supports, but the triangular ones pose a problem for doing this.
Mine has the triangular supports. Would there be any structure issue with drilling a single hole in the support so I could attached an eye bolt and use that as a temporary tie down?
