RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Wildlife Photography Thread

Thanks. They're surprisingly common here in Arizona as are Great Egrets and a number of other birds that I'm learning about though I'm more a photographer who shoots birds than a birder who makes photos.

Saturday morning, 8/3/19, a Hawk(?) on a dark truck in the Costco gas line at Country Club and Baseline in Mesa/Gilbert. I was on my way out and didn't see it until I was turning at the light.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Desert Meetup?

San Rafael Swell, GSENM or someplace around Hite would be some other options to consider. Lots of places to think about imeeting if people are going to be wandering...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Desert Meetup?

I know that the last weekend in October and the first weekend of November are out for me. Beyond that I'm headed to Colorado over Labor Day so probably would want it at least at the end of September but open to suggestions.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Desert Meetup?

Three years ago a group of us met in late October in VotG for a weekend. Most were from parts far removed from Utah but were traveling the southwest in the fall. Curious if there is any interest in a similar gathering again in October/November whether it is in VotG, KofA or someplace else. So...

It is supported from underneath as well by a piece of stock that is bolted through the camper "wings".

I carry 5 gallons on one of the AT brackets. Has worked well for me. If you want to see it let me know and we can figure a time to meet.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Getting a Hawk home

I ran my Grandby on Tundra for about a month before getting everything installed and just used the bed tie downs. While not recommended it worked but the only trips that I took with it were staying on pavement or graded roads. If you need anything let me know, I'm not too far away and work in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Inflatable kayak

Got the boat out twice over the weekend. Saturday with two of us for a flatwater get comfortable session and Sunday we took two of the dogs on some moving water down the Salt River. Saw a few bands of horses during the float as well.

Just ordered an Aquaglide Chelan Tandem XL HB from airkayaks.com. They were a joy to work with and the boat/pump and paddles should be here by the weekend. Looking forward to taking it along on trips with the camper as well as being able to explore some local waterways. Might even look at...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Trouble licenseing camper in Washington

When I lived in Washington I purchased my camper used from a couple who had bought it in Oregon where no title or license was required. Because I was financing the bank required a title but it was a quick trip to the courthouse with the original owner for them to title it and say they had moved...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Getting on Roof?

I've been able to do solar panel and vent work with a ladder from either side. Sometimes want someone supporting the ladder as I might be leaning out a bit but it all worked out in the end.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Small Camping Tables

I have one of the Camco folding tables, one Crazy Creek and a couple Camptime Rolla-A-Tables with connectors to make them into a single table. The Crazy Creek hasn't held up as well as I'd have liked and I've had to realign the slats and plastic end pieces a couple times. Usually the Camco and...

Thanks for sharing! Looks like a great trip. There are so many roads criss-crossing the Abajos and that area it's hard to keep them all straight.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Grand Staircase or Needles District in September?

Either is worthwhile. You could go through GSENM and spend some time there then drive the Burr Trail and up to Capitol Reef, over to Hanksville and then on to Hite and come into 211 and The Needles from the south. It would end up being more of a survey trip than an in depth trip but it would...

Great write-up. Bummer your river trip got cancelled . Skoomchuck has been a place in my mind since I first heard of it 30 or so years ago, someday maybe I'll paddle there. Canadian customs is always so much friendlier and easier than US customs, seems like they don't want us returning to our...

Had my Renogy controller for about 5 years now without issues. Also installed another on a vintage trailer around 4 years ago and it's working fine. Both are the 30A PWM controller with 2x100W Renogy panels feeding in.
