RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West how to clean and lube Reico Titan camper jacks?

Sorry I can't be of much help. I took my new jacks off my new camper and put them in the basement and they will probably stay there for the next decade or so. I would go to the source: Customer Service:: phone:toll-free 866.403.9803 or email customerservice@riecotitan.com Do you have any...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Order Placed for New Fleet

Question back to you since we are still researching the options: why springs and not air bags and do you have your camper on the truck all the time? Thanks My camper is on full time and I guess that is the determining question. If yours is going to be on pretty much full time than springs would...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Order Placed for New Fleet

We will be adding solar but will probably hold off on doing it until we have a better understanding of our power requirements and know whether we will stay with the cooler or retrofit a 2 way fridge. Congratulations. I have the large Waeco 110L 2way with the dual batteries and no solar. I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Outfitter Camper - Caribou and Caribou Lite "Height - Truck Floor to Roof Vents"?

Just went out and measured and yes about 35.5" bed to ground. The factory spec unloaded is 37.9" so with my Hawk (1300 lbs dry, empty and jacks off) it settled in the back a couple inches. Hope your length is okay. I was short 5 or 6". Ended up cutting a "hood window" through the interior wall...

Can't help you with the Outfitter but my 2012 Chevy 2500HD 4x4 and FWC Hawk just clears my 8' garage door with 2 or 3 inches to spare.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Stupid question: Airing down tires

Is there a compressor that anyone can recommend that is priced around $100? This is the one a lot of us have: http://www.ebay.com/itm/MV50-SuperFlow-Hi-Volume-Air-Compressor-R-/271048598768?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&hash=item3f1bc164f0&vxp=mtr

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Stupid question: Airing down tires

Rotti... Was this a Michelin LTX AT2? No, it was a Firestone Wilderness something or another. It was on my Tahoe with only 24,0000 miles. Gravel roads hate me. As far as airing down I never have....too lazy I guess. My thought, I guess is, if that little compressor doesn't work then I might...

Go to Harbor Freight or CL for a cheap utility trailer. Place camper on trailer in a flat location and back into your garage. Probably would be cheaper than building a contraption and you have a trailer for other projects/uses. Worked for me.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Perfect Duffel Bag

I still have the one the army issued me back on Dec 8, 1963! Smoke, I have you beat. I'm still using my dad's duffel bag from WW2. Still in good shape. I get a twinge of sadness though when I see his name stenciled on the side. That bag has seen a lot. I still have my free issued duffel...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Advice on selling 2010 Hawk

What kind of camper are you? Do you like the backroads, boon docking, exploring, 4WD roads, OR, are you more of paved road, established campground kind of family? Trailer works for one but not so much for the other. I have dragged around a motorcycle trailer on the backroads and it is no...

Of course it is proper to ask.... thats the 1st amendment. And yes I do....that would be the 2nd amendment. I have been wandering the west for many years though and have never run into any of the "creeps". Being an old boy scout, I follow the motto "be prepared". Being prepared should also...

Because of reviews here and elsewhere I also went with the 2 way 110L Waeco. Very pleased and my experience mirrors JHa6av8r. With dual batteries I find no need for solar. I have seen a lot of people go from a 3 way to 2 way but never the opposite. Can't comment on suspension mods.....I live...
