RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2018 Grandby Shell on Ram Regular Cab

FYI - here is the Reliance Anti-Gravity Pump for the Reliance water jugs. I saw it used in a teardrop camper bit I can't tell you how well it works. Shellback, really like your camper and build.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck Payload Exceedance

Lunch, I have Firestone air bags on my tundra and add air to them with a small bicycle pump, it takes that little. With the tundra, I need very little pressure. You definitely want load range E tires. And with my light camper, I don't really need to air them up at all. My 2 cents...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Swift owners - Is it right for me?

My wife, daughter and I plus 2 dogs have slept just fine in both my prior FWC Ranger and current ATC Panther. You might check out the ATC Bobcat as an alternative. http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/3731-atc-bobcat-after-one-year/ And if you decide to go with a Tundra, I love my ATC...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 1988 Four Wheel Camper Grandby renovation and Tundra Fit

OurayPhotography, Congratulations on the "new" camper! It looks like a great project. As I'm sure you have seen there are many others on this site who have taken on considerable projects. If you are set on making your Tundra into a flatbed, I'm sure you realize that the camper will fit higher...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Backup rear cam for Tundra

trikebubble, Thanks for the pics. Yeah, I can see the issue with the Hitchgate. I'm thinking of getting a cargo carrier and figured I would have the same problem...

trikebubble, would you happen to have a picture of the camera view from your side mount? Curious how the view is as that might be a handy location.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ladder or step?

Brophy on my old Ranger... Little Giant Safety Step Stepladder Type 1A, with the new truck/camper for more height. Both worked well but with the higher truck bed on the newer Tundra we wanted a taller ladder. In both cases I remove the ladder and place it on the carpet on the floor of...

Great score. That Grandby looks to be in nice condition. 303 aerospace also makes a cleaner that works well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The All Terrain Campers photo thread

Thanks Ski! We actually were heading up to Yellowstone the last week of September when the highway was closed north of Pinedale due to the Roosevelt fire. The lady in the visitors center pulled out a map and sent us on an adventure. We headed west through the mountains on the Cottonwood/...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West LT tire suggestions

I switched to the Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventure with Kevlar in load range E. I had less than 20k miles on the original Bridgestone SUV tires that came on the Tundra but just got tired of worrying about it. So far so good. I don't add extra air with the camper on as it feels just...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rhino Rack Batwing Repair

Richard, Nice write-up on the repair. I copied this from my "New Pantheris born" thread in "ATC Camper Discussions"... Wouldn't you know it, the first trip with the Rhino Rack Foxwing/Batwing awning and it breaks... Wow, much more carnage than my experience I posted about in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Used camper jacks?

I would find a fourth jack... Plus, the driver's side is the heavier side so two would be best on that side. The edge trim is trimmed and the jack brackets screwed to the corners with lag screws that have rubber washers like these.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Panther is born

We got in a really quick storm, camping with family and had way more items to hang on to than hands available. I repaired it right away, it really wasn't too bad. The hardest thing was rounding up the parts needed. I'm not sure why the big hinge broke as the nylon pieces should fail first. I...

Wouldn't you know it, the first trip with the Rhino Rack Foxwing/Batwing awning and it breaks. Luckily I was able to get replacement parts from Rhino Rack and it ended up being an easy repair.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Battery relocation good idea or bad?

I did this on my prior set up, a 2000 Tundra with the FWC Ranger. The Ranger was pretty narrow so there was plenty of room to bolt the battery box to the bed. It worked out fine but I eventually moved it back into the camper. It did add considerable storage room under the bench. Have your...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Granby Edition in a Tundra with 6.6 truck bed

Not the same, a lighter duty Tundra and lighter FWC Ranger. I had this combo for 10 years with no problems and loved the extra length. If you are willing to buy a longbed truck if it doesn't work out then go for it.
