RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Swift shell on a new Ford Ranger

What is the engine HP and torque for the Nissan Frontier? What is it for the Ranger? It would be interesting for everyone here to know for comparison.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Siding color affects internal temperature?

Without AC the white color is the wise choice.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane door misaligned

It looks to me that someone opened the door too far, it pressed against the rubber stop bumper and when forced, it then bent the hinge out and that bent hinge now allows the door position to be too close to the striker.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Buying Four Wheel Camper Eagle

I have a 07 that I use in my 98 Dodge 2500. I am contemplating moving to a Hawk, but haven't made up my mind if I want the extra weight and outside width and would like to see the Hawk (maybe side by side). Unfortunately for you I'm in CT. I like the fact that the Eagle is the same width as...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Size of couch in Hawk shell?

You would have to answer that yourself. You can set up something in your house that is 6' and see if you can deal with it. See if you can sleep on your side, or tolerate it, then it would be fine, especially considering the length of time you would do it. Would you stealth camp for a full...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How much water and diesel do I really need?

I'd go for a diesel powered truck. Same fuel as heater so you wouldn't need extra and not explosive in a brush fire.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Preparing for Raven Shell delivery

GVWR is the complete, entire weight of everything (passengers, fuel, luggage and lunch. Everything in, on or bolted to the truck). The downward force of the tires to the pavement.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Preparing for Raven Shell delivery

You won't have a problem getting it home or using it as long as you are equal to or under the manufacturer's GVWR (there is even a generous safety factor built in). Some trucks, like RAM come with full air ride as a factory option, nice ride and never a squat. You can have your headlights...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West fastgun attachment on flatbed

I don't know what a "fastgun" is, but if you use a attachment point that is basically a vertical drop below the FWC jack mounts you can't go wrong. You figure those FWC mounting locations can hold the jacks which continuously hold the entire weight of the camper, they should easily hold it down...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Pipe heater 'tape' or other ideas to prevent freezing while traveling

If your serious, run 2 heater hoses, in series with your trucks cab heater (hot through truck cab first, then waste toward camper). Then you can buy a sell contained 12v, heater box intended for construction equipment or from an old large SUV with rear heat (like a 90's Suburban where it bolted...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Four Wheel Camper Eagle trade for Hawk

I have a FWC Eagle and would consider trading for a FWC Hawk. The Eagle is discontinued and was a narrow version intended for Toyota Trucks. You can do the research. I use it on my 98 Dodge Ram. It is in CT. It is a 2007 model with 3 way fridge, 2 burner stove, cold water sink that has...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2010 FWC eagle Camper to 2022 Toyota Tacoma Access cab

I have done stuff like that. The trailer hitch is very strong if the tiedowns don't get in your way. Just because of the hassle of removing them and reinstalling, you might want to drill the holes in the bed or have flush mount eye rings installed.
