RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Time to Act on Stove Recall

Concur regarding turning the gas off at the tank valve before traveling. Went on a roadtrip with a friend for his solo FWC trip. He drained the hot water tank the last day but left it on. Hot water heater ran empty for six hours. Was really hot when he finally noticed it. Luckily no damage...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West MPG , Tacoma 4.0 4x4 with FWC Fleet

2013 Fleet on a 2022 off-road 4.0L Tacoma. I average 16-18mpg. I drive at 60mph. Headwinds crush my mileage though. Last trip headed home on the I15 blasting into a 25 knot wind took me down to 11mpg. I dump all my water for long treks as well.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Satellite emergency device and GPS unit

I use ZOLEO which uses an APP on your phone with a separate satellite device via Bluetooth. Works well for me and was a reasonable price along with the service plans. I use paper maps along with an APP called Scenic Maps for off grid / no cell navigation.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Forum Update - We're back! Ask your questions here.

Thanks for the update. How do you edit a post? There used to be an “edit” on the bottom of a post. I just posted under trip reports and can’t find the “edit” feature. I put picture links in too from WTW. I see the link vice the picture. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Toroweap May 2024

The Grand Parashant National Monument has been a favorite of mine for awhile. Despite the “gnats” (ATVs) there are destinations in the NM that offer solitude, scenic views and hikes. A weather window opened up in May after a storm front had passed along with it being the middle of the week...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cassette Toilet Issue

FYI. Replaced pump on Thetford C200 which is installed on my 2013 Fleet. Parts are hard to find in the U.S. other than EBay which are expensive. Found parts on Amazon Europe and shipping via prime was free. Easy repair. https://a.co/d/6yRiJsX

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bed platform to raise camper

Yes. Cut it to length and width as shown and use wood screws to secure. The height of the PEX was sufficient for my Fleet and Tacoma. Every truck and camper is different and recommend you measure bed height vs the bottom of your camper to the height required.
