I've seen this camper mods in person. They are quite impressive.

The model that we saw at Overland EXPO this year had that. It was a pretty neat setup and had under the bed storage to boot. I think it would be a great selling feature for them. You are correct on the bed setup/take down, it's doable but takes time and effort.
