RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another new Hallmark

Well, you'd think that securing the camper to the truck is a basic, well known technique. However, there are several different systems and opinions on how best to use them. Installers mix and match components depending on the camper and the truck. I recommend that you read up on TorkLift and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Transition to XP

We moved on for now (see Hallmark discussion). We did not want to wait any longer without a firm schedule and without some features we wanted such as a usable bed. The V2 was supposed to be my wife's birthday present but it didn't work out. :( At the time the V1 was the only model that had...

I have some experience with XPCamper and can add a few insights to the discussion. As conditions change and more owners come on-line there will be more current info, of course. We placed one of the early V2 orders in 2013 with a due date of year's end. Later we used the prototype V2 for 3...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone using an inReach 2-way Satellite Communicator?

We have the Explorer model with an annual Safety plan. It costs roughly $0.50/day for peace of mind. We take it hiking, paddling and camping. Have sent messages or emails occasionally, never used the SOS function--knock on wood! The navigation features are very weak compared to a Garmin handheld...

Lake Pueblo was recommended by a Colorado friend but we didn't get a chance to go there that trip. Maybe another time. We did camp at Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain NP which Hallmark recommended and it was great. Interesting that Hallmark botched your turnbuckles, too. On ours they made 3...

Thanks. I certainly gave Hallmark feedback although it seemed like they didn't care. The dynamics of a family operation are interesting. Except for the turnbuckles problems were relatively minor and would not have taken much to fix. Not a big deal, just a little disappointing.

We are also Hallmark owners, a 2014 Guanella on a Ram 2500. It is a solid, well made, 8-foot model with a north-south bed. The electric lift makes setup easy and quick. The inside is comfortable and airy. A very livable space with some thoughtful features. We are happy with it. The buying...
