I think I got mine from an eBay seller, but just google stranded silicone wire and you should get some hits. Warning: the stuff is expensive, but if you are just splicing short lengths at the bend, it's not too bad. Here's just one link.

If you don't want to do it yourself, there's this. The price is right, but the hose hose is too short, IMHO. In a previous thread, this was mentioned. More $$ but also more volume and a longer hose.

For PDFs of National Forest 7.5 minute topo maps I go to the USDA FS Maps site. These topo maps have the Forest Service road numbers, which the USGS quads often don't have. For hard copies, I buy them at the local District Office.
