RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane Usage

When I go to Jasper again this weekend, I'll keep your question in mind. I think the answer is yes, mainly because I had a more constant heat source. Think of it this way. If you were in your truck and you turned off the heat and started to breath, you would fog up the windows. When you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Canadian National Parks Pass-Free

Some of the passes are taking forever to get to people and others are receiving theirs promptly. I have no idea why, but expect 2 weeks to 2 months to get a pass. If you are thinking about getting one, you better order one sooner than later, seeing they may take a long time to get to you.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire Recommendations

I drove past Fountain Tire today and they were advertising a 4 for 3 sale. I'll have to check it out. Heading on my way out the door of Costco this evening, I talked to the tire guy and he praised the KO2s to no end. I think what I will do is take an actual look at the Goodyear AT Adventures...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane Usage

I burn through a 10# bottle in 2 days when winter camping. -20C -4F To me though I'm getting great value out of having the furnace. I don't want to wake up a popsicle. I fill them at Costco. Usually $3-$4 per bottle. We winter camper 2 weekends ago in that temp -20C -4F and opted for a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire Recommendations

I'll have to take a closer look at these. I was thinking of getting some BFG KO2s because my truck is 2WD, but I really don't think I need anything as aggressive as the KO2s. The Goodyear ATAs may be a good fit.

https://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Anywhere-Black-Khaki-Sheet/dp/B000UCWXOY This would pack up nicely. Easy to get at your baby if used on the cabover bed. -------------------------- Some people remove the back of the roll over couch. -------------------------- I also like your idea #4 if you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How to you clean the exterior of your camper

Here is a sample of what I can do with paint. I used to own an online store that sold detailing products (until 3M tried to sue me... long story). http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?44569-Black-F150#O26fBRb1LWiMxXHQ.97 Likely, your camper looking old due to oxidation and...

Squatch, I have the exact same set of stairs. I like them. That anti rattle device looks good. Thx. My stairs do not obstruct my plate either. That being said, do you think there is a chance of getting a ticket, by driving with them on the truck. I noticed you put reflective tape. I'm sure...

I see... thanks for sharing. I'll have to come up with a different creative solution as I will not be adding stair treads etc. I'll have to look at shimming the receiver, or something like that.

I love to see these older models at affordable prices. This unit looks like it is in great shape. Hopefully the new owner has a truck to fit it, or some mad skills like some of our member have showcased in modifying the unit. I don't think I've ever seen a peekaboo window like the one on the...

Good answer jaSAn. I think what we often fail to do is ask some of those qualifying questions, prior to giving an answer. I think the nature of a forum, sort of dictates this to a degree, because of the delay time in communication. We want to best answer the question in one reply. I recently...

Yes, that was the example question I used. It seems like a pretty simple question. If a customer walked into an RV supply store and asked a staff member "what should I use to lubricate the deadbolt on my FWC". The staff member would likely walk them up to 1 product and say, "this is what the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Improved Control Panel Teaser

My toe/foot has hit the rocker type switch for the water pump and turned it on, on more than one occasion. Same with the rocker style switch for the refrigerator fan, coming in and out of the back door of the camper. At least they don't hurt, if you accidentally hit them.
