RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hot water heater - necessary or luxury?

On my last trip the non hot water guys cleaned up in the lake. I enjoyed a hot shower.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Summer weight sleeping bag with a good zipper

Wow, one I was looking at was a Coleman Komfort something. Price range was from $100 to $28. I pulled the trigger on the twenty eight dollar bag. Can't go wrong at that price :)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Summer weight sleeping bag with a good zipper

I've had good luck finding inexpensive comfy flannel sleeping bags for the camper except they all have crappy zippers. I've done zipper repairs before but this time I want one I won't need to repair.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Antelope Lake

I have no problem with hippies but any event that large needs a permit to assure the proper resources will be in place, cleanup, security etc. The crickets are interesting. In all the years I've been going up there I've never seen them before. I did run into a swarm of flying bugs once which...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mokelumne Wilderness - June 2024

Beautiful country this time of year. I may have to disagree about the mule ears though :). Reminds me I saw a bunch of people from the GBI working on the hiking trail to Taylor Lake.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Antelope Lake

Just got back from my annual trip to Antelope Lake. I don't normally do a trip report unless something interesting happened. I came up 395 to Janesville because of the construction on Highway 70. Just about the time I hit the top of the grade I met the Mormon crickets. Not quite enough to make...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Battery Voltage question

MPPT is not a requirement for lithium batteries. I did install a DC DC charger but solar does the bulk of the work. You could probably get by with just solar and maybe an occasional charge from the IOTA.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truma Combi

I think they call it moist because it circulates water for heating. They might want to update their literature.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Heads Up - US Dogs in Canada

Riley is chipped and I just got a copy of his vaccination status today for the lady who will be watching him next week but proof of microchipping? Couldn't they just scan the chip for verification? Leave it to the government to make something that should be simple complicated.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Teton Pass Road Landslide

I'm always amazed at how seemingly impossible fixes are nothing but minor annoyances to the engineers. Not much they can't fix if they have the funds.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Have I lost my mind?

When I replaced my fan it was a matter of keeping some of my weight on the ladder and then trying to spread out as much as possible.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West WTW format

I"ve gone through a number of site upgrades on various sites and this is by far the easiest to adjust to I've seen yet. I was worried I'd hate it (I'm old and don't like change) but its easy to adjust to.

If you have condensation it usually means you don't have enough ventilation. Best to open a vent low and one high. Not just a crack either.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Truck and Camper Dropped Off Lift

I've been asked the total weight of my truck and camper but no one has ever been concerned about the balance (at least not to me).

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Another Close Call

I've never had a housing crack. Plenty of seals leaking. In fact I've had the seals replaced three times on my truck by three different shops and it still leaks. Still debating on whether to try again or just live with it. I do know that is not an easy thing to weld. I hope your guy is very...

I'm liking it. Not nearly as hard to get used to as I expected. Somehow they managed to keep the feel of the original site. Good job.
