RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Leaving camper on for shop work?

That's interesting. I use America's Tire and they always use floor jacks. Online it said we can only put on stock size tires but in person they didn't have any problem doing any size I wanted.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Leaving camper on for shop work?

Dealerships seem to be the worst. No one else ever says a thing. One shop did ask me how much my truck weighs (they work mostly on Jeeps).

I've got one on each side but I rarely deploy the one on the passenger side.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Corner Crossing - the right of Public Access to Gov Land vs the rights of Private Owners

I've been following the Park fire closely and its just mind boggling the amount of misinformation going around. Even the old "Jewish space lasers" junk has been repeated and not in jest. I feel for you. Dealing with neighbors is not fun. My previous residence was over an ancient natural gas...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Park Fire

I did not expect to see it across 36 this early. What a monster. They're done an incredible job keeping it from heading east but its going north till the winds change. I've been following . There is even a new update an hour or so ago. He needs sleep. This one may make the Caldor and Dixie fires...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Vintage 110 volt system, what's included?

They did not come with an inverter. 110 powers the single outlet and the converter which supplies the 12v power. If your fridge still cools on 110 it should work on propane. Probably something simples like a clogged jet. Lots of info here on how to deal with that.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Satellite emergency device and GPS unit

Many years ago I took a road off the 27n03 in the Plumas NF and turned around when I found a muddy section of the road. I won't dig ruts if I don't have to. I've looked for that spot on off for years. Finally found it this year using a combination of paper maps and gps. Turns out it was just a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Satellite emergency device and GPS unit

A friend of mine just purchased one of these. Garmin Tread® - Base Edition | Powersports GPS Pretty nice unit and the 5" may or may not be small for hiking depending on your needs. Too pricey for me though. You can pry my paper maps from my, wait that may be getting carried away but I like a gps...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar replacement and 2 agm batteries

On my camper replacing the interior run to the batteries was pretty simple. Not sure how they do it on the newer campers. I'd definitely do it if you can.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tire Width - Which is Better?

My buddy recently put new tires on his Jeep. Found out BFG no longer makes them in a 9:50-15. Had to go with a 10:50-15. The KO3s look good though. I need to put them on the CJ soon. Its tires have some serious sidewall cracking. I was kind of shocked when I found out how old they are. Seems...

Typically they're on the passenger side. Roads, campgrounds etc, are set up that way. I put mine on the driver side so it shades my refer and my cooking area.
