Wonton, When loading /unloading on a not exactly level surface, the camper will try to "walk" . I use the plates that "Chnlisl" mentioned (very similar to what you had built). and when the walking occures, the alluminum plates seem to flex/bend an aweful lot.Maybe it's good that the aluminum...

You can see empty camp sites at Thornhill Broom down there! The wife and I used to Mtn Bike the backbone tr. quite a bit.Awesome! Not sure if it's still allowed??

I pulled up at the most popular surf spot in ventura county the other day. Surf was firing, weekend people everywhere. I was so excited to get in the water...I did, I put my wetsuit on backwards :huh: .....30 years of going surfing, 10 of those in the wetsuit industry, never done that before...

Scenic vistas abound at Eureka Dunes.....The wind can getcha here, so be ready for it at ANY time..

Lots of good spots to stop and picknic along the way.
