RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Vandals tear down iconic Oregon rock formation

Probation and fines aren't enough in my opinion. The judge needs to sentence them to many, many hours behind the business end of a pickaxe and McCleod and put them to building trail and doing restoration projects.

You ought to PM "Bosque Bill" on this forum. He lives and roams NM a lot.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West RFI Water Filters

I use a Steri-Pen and it works great and is super light weight. The big drawback is that, although it renders water safe to drink, it's not a filter, so you might find yourself drinking mucky water that's safe, but tastes bad. The Steri-Pen is great for backpacking when weight is an issue or...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Extended Summer - Lots of Pics!

Very nice. The colors of the landscape seemed so saturated; I guess that's what a little rain can do. Was the swimming hole (the final pic) a hot spring by chance?

I managed to find the yarn for the Utah Killer Bug, so that's what I use. In fact, I used your exact article to learn how to tie them!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wolf Creek in the Eastern Sierra - August 2016

You're right, it's fun to get another person's perspective on the same trip. I too was tempted to drive up to Silver Creek, but I was in "go home mode" and let it get the best of me. I plan to check it out the next time I'm in the area. Boy, my rig didn't feel as unlevel as it looks in our...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Loon Lake 2016

Wow, what a beautiful lake. Why haven't I heard about this place before? Well, now I have and it'll be on my "to do" list soon. I like the beach umbrella--I'm all about cheap and effective. While reading you TR, I thought, I'm going to have to send you a link to a Meat Bee trap I just found...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Southern Oregon Coast

Camping with kids brings back some old memories (very good ones). It gets even more fun as they get older. After having a Meat Bee experience of my own last weekend, I found a very good article on how to trap them. It's very simple and can easily be done while camping. Here's a link to the...

Yes it was! Very good eye, especially since the fly itself was blurry. I see you're from the Sacramento Mtns. of NM. I'm originally from SE NM (Roswell/Ruidoso) and my dad's in Alamogordo...small world.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lake Tahoe's Freel Peak - August 2016

Three peaks in a day would wear me out. At least I know I'd sleep well that night...even with the hoopla going on nearby. I really liked the low light shots you took on you first night. The Golden Hour.

Last weekend the Ski3Pins and the "Teds" invited Dexter and I to join them for some camping and fishing along Wolf Creek, in the eastern Sierras, near Sonora Pass. I had a great time with wonderful people in a beautiful place. Here's a link to my blog for the Trip Report: WOLF CREEK Fish & Camp

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bobcat - Tailgate on?

I'm a HUGE fan of leaving the tailgate on. I didn't think I would be at first but ever since my maiden voyage with my Bobcat, I've love it. I have a "porch" now and I can stand on it to access things stored on the roof and I'm always setting things on it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Building a Smaller Dinette for my Bobcat

Yes, I did. I looked all over the Internet for a rollover hinge and I could not find them for sale anywhere. Luckily, my neighbor has a FWC with the rollover bench and I took all of the measurements and made the hinge myself. Here it is in its raw state: Here's the finished hinge.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Building a Smaller Dinette for my Bobcat

I built a small dinette table for my Bobcat that I finally think will work. The first dinette table I built was too big and impractical to be used on most occasions, so I scaled it all down, and this is what I came up with: Here's a link to my blog for the Dinette Build.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tacoma rear-seat platform mod

I was thinking about the same thing. I plan to hit a couple of thrift shops and find a little day pack (I've always seen them there in the past) and hang it from the back seat. I think I could hang it off of the head rest. A day pack would also give me another pocket or two for pens, paper, etc.
