Duramax is a great motor I had one in a 86 1 ton van pulling an airstream I would recommend a 1 ton 8 ft bed non duelly. You will not regret that combo. I have a 1995 cummins 3/4 with a Alaskan 8 ft cabover.

Thanks once again since the 110 connection has been totally removed from the driver side exterior I will be fabricating something after removing the aluminum plate covering that area.

Those with 8' cab overs how is sleeping inside in down position.

Will be picking up the 1976 8' cabover next week leaving a 3" gap between floor and bed has anyone hired a fork lift to load and unload I have intended to leave it mounted as this is my final solution at 70 years of age. Thanks thisoldcamper for all the inspiration.

I do get that loyalty from a lot of long-term owners. The six-pac I had was fun but really too tall for urban access. Is your 99 an 8'bed?

The owner has the lumber and also another Alaskan with some experience in these matters, my only problem (chuckle) is my limited strength brought on by the years looking at 70 in the rearview I will rustle up some inside pics, Again happy fathers day to all you dads.

I will be driving to New Mexico early July to pick and pay. I have seen the need to raise the camper from the bed for the Camper to clear the cab does anyone have any advice? 2" 3" 4" What are the negative effects and balance issues. Thank you people.
