FWC Fleet ok to sleep in off the truck?

Put on platform [your design to desired height] and once all weight on that support, extend the 4 jacks until they just contact the ground and tighten just a little....jacks provide stability and platform support.

    Keeping Hawk cool in summer

Wow! Inventive! Now to find a source of that much ice...but really a good example of thinking outside the norm...again, with my two vent fans, watch the number of amps drawn, on 'high' those suckers use a lot of amps....and I store gear outside the tie-down doors, but of course that gear is...

Good idea if you have the room to mount and can supply this level of amperage: High Blower Speed: 38 nominal amps @ 12.8 Volts DC ** Medium Blower Speed: 32 nominal amps @ 12.8 Volts DC ** Low Blower Speed (Whisper Mode): 29 nominal amps @ 12.8 Volts DC **

    Keeping Hawk cool in summer

Ha! Small world, I grew up in Yuba City North of Sacto in late 40's early 50's and 100 degrees at midnight with 70% humidity made our swamp cooler more of a shower....agree in low humidity evaporative cooling works, but relative humidity must be low...also introducing moisture inside a FWC can...

    Weight

I will chirp in again....you seem to be trying make all this work, good. But you need to load it up to max and do SAFE field trials on various tracks and at varying speeds to get you answer...and even then, during an emergency turn, recovery from understeering or oversteering or stopping can...

    Weight

A CAT scale. The CofG for the Granby is 11" behind the rear axle. Of the 8ft footprint; 5ft is within the bed, and 3ft is beyond the taillights. With 1ton rear leaf springs/1ton dually rear axle/HMMWV tires combo, I barely know the camper is on. It wasn't until I weighed the Bronco/camper...

    Propane Detector won’t stop beeping

I understand having a propane alarm...but honestly, has anyone on this forum actually had a propane leak into a FWC? Also, removing the fuse takes 10 secs since on my Hawk it is inside the circuit breaker/fuse cabinet... False alarms are like crying wolf...we tend to disregard them.

Vinyl Siding Durability on New FWCampers

What exactly was the question? Not vinyl...as for photo of scratches on Swift...two observations: First black anything on exterior will show dirt/scratches more that standard white, as in FWC aluminum siding. Our '16 Hawk [std FWC white aluminum siding] has been dragged through a lot of...

FWC DIY modifications & item weights advice

Don't understand this "using camper water tank is limited since it's not for drinking water, I still have to bring drinkable water, 20 gallons is more than I'll ever need to do dishes or take the rare shower, wouldn't fill it due to weight of that much water"? One of the big assets of our Hawk...
