Here's a few shots from the Colorado Rockies. Just finished a 6-week trip there. Here's a couple of pics of camp on the first day and the last....the leaves were changing colors fast at the end of my trip.

You might want to consider at least a 3/4 ton (non dually) truck for your pop up camper. Mine handles the camper much better than the 1/2 ton did.

One thing to consider is that right now your rollers are virgin. If you use synthetic cable first, they will stay that way. Then later if you want to go to steel....no problem. If you use steel cable first.....they will leave a "signature" in the rollers....rough spots where the pulls became...

My Honda 1000 runs for 5-6 hours on a refill (tank capacity is 0.61 gal). YMMV depending on your electrical usage. Honda makes an extended tank that attaches to the generator that will allow all night runtime. There are many out there...here is just one example...
