Looks epic. It's settled, this is where we shall go! I have only been to the eastern side of the Sierras to ski Mammoth in the comfort of a condo and fished up there at Crowley 40 years ago! Can't wait to camp it and explore with no specific plan or schedule. Might even break down and indulge in...

My buddy just recommended the Lone Pine area. Looks like it's just past Red Rock Canyon about 1 1/2. Looks like some good hiking and mountain biking.

Getting stoked! Weather looks like it will be doable and only partly cloudy. Hope it clears up enough at night to see the treasures in the sky.

Loving the options guys, thank you! While NV looks more remote and epic, I'm wondering about they snowy roads getting there. Red Rock Canyon is closer and may be the best choice this time of year? Only 5+ hours away seems like a good hit.

The wife and I have a few weeks off starting next Friday. We had originally planed to head up to our place in Humboldt and then continue north. As per usual this time of year, the weather will be wet. We are thinking this year to perhaps head south. We picked up our camper last spring and have...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Agency Lake OR

Thank you for all of this insight to the area. Perhaps the condition of the watershed is the reason prices are so low. Bummer, as the area looks like it had tons of potential in its hay day. Global warming strikes again!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Agency Lake OR

Thank you Frank! This is just the information I'm looking for. When I look at Agency lake on Google Earth, it looks like its covered with a huge algae bloom! Is this always the case for that lake?

Thanks Frank! Good fishing is just what I'm looking for. Also trying to find first hand information on the vibe around town, average weather and is it a safe place to live or frequently visit?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Agency Lake OR

I'm looking at properties in Oregon and planning a trip to scout out the area. We have seen some affordable places in Chiloquin, near Agency lake. Anyone have any knowledge of that area or any recommendations for other parts of the state to consider? Looking for places next to a lake or river.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Synchronizing Victron Components

Synchronized absorption volts on CC to 100% SOC volts on shunt and got a couple hours of sun on it. Fully charging now! 100% is better than 95%.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mounting Fiamma Awning on Northstar TC800?

It would be nice to know where the structural members are under the siding in the Northstar. FWCs have a wide channel that runs around the top. I was able to rivet on brackets to hold my awning. Using through bolts would have created an issue for the king bed slider. Hopefully someone chimes in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Synchronizing Victron Components

Perfect, done! Muchas Gracias! I cant wait to test it the next time the sun comes out! Gotta make hay (or watts) when the sun's shine'n and getting topped off to 100% SOC is always nice when mother nature is picking up the tab.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Synchronizing Victron Components

So Should I set the absorption on my CC to the same number as the 100% SOC on my shunt? 14.4v in this case.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Synchronizing Victron Components

Thanks Vic. Victron components are: MPPT 100V 20 amp BT Charge controller 500 amp smart shunt Battery: 206ah SOK lithium Solar: 175w (roof mount) 135w (auxiliary folding panel)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Synchronizing Victron Components

Simply put, my Victron charge controller goes into float mode when smart shunt only reads 95%. Even when there is plenty of solar available to get me to 100%. Shunt is set for lithium and 100% is set at 14.4v. If shunt is set at 14.4 max, should I set float at 14.4 on CC?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flexible Solar Panel Recommendations

This method produces more watts at a much lighter weight. 100w Renogy rigid panel on my cabin = 14+ pounds 175w Renogy flexible/with homemade frame on my Hawk = 7 pounds Considerably more watts for 1/2 the lbs. No mess with removal of adhesive from roof if the panel fails or you wish to...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flexible Solar Panel Recommendations

I have been running Renogy panels and other products of theirs for over 10 years now with great success. I have the above mentioned panel on my hawk and it keeps my 206ah lithium pretty happy. I rarely need to break out my 130w folding panel for back up. The 175w is light weight and good...
