Agree- nice looking rig! The ATC guys are great.

We've got a shell with the Dometic CF50 and 160 watts of solar. We use it as a fridge mostly but have considered Wandering Sage's system- could have ice cubes and ice cream that way. We like being ice-free.

It's 68° inside our house and all the windows are tightly closed! Wandering Sage- thanks for the moral support, haha.

Ski- here we notice the later sunset times first. Sun is setting about a half hour later now- noticeable. Mornings are still dark. That will change gradually over the coming weeks. Just a few more months of winter to go! Send some of your savings this way- we are burning lots of natural gas...

We read the instructions. Easy Peasy if you are going to be hanging around home which we weren't. Could have waited until we would be hanging around home but didn't. It all worked out- learn something every day. Kudos to Kidde- pretty painless process all around really. :)

Got our replacement today- same size as the old one. We packed up the old one in the box provided and my wife delivered it to the FedEx office near home sonce she was going right by there. Surprise- they said they couldn't accept hazardous packages and she would have to take it to the airport...

Nice job! We used the ATC system in our Tacoma and have 5 years of use with no issues. I like that the eye bolts give some additional secure cargo tie down points in the bed when the camper is not mounted on the truck. I'll be following your thread to watch your build progress. Thanks for posting.

We are in the group that didn't get enough camping the past year. So much going on, including our son's wedding, successful cancer surgery, visits from relatives and friends, wife's volleyball tournaments, a landscaping project- all good stuff but not camping. We did get in a fun trip to watch...

Happy New Year everyone! After 66 hours below zero we finally made it to +1°F for a couple hours today. Hooray. It's back below zero now. Looks like we will be cold until next weekend. Then a warmup into the teens! Yay! It's winter for sure. Just like the old days, haha.

Well it warmed up to a balmy -6°F by the time the game was over. We walked up to the store (1 mi. RT) for provisions to help bring in the new year. Nice sunny day but the wind was still a bit stiff. :ph34r:

Haha, that works. We did walk yesterday. Not bad if you keep exposed skin to a minimum.

This morning's temp was -17°F. Any walk today will be short and close to home. We will watch some football and wait for it to warm up. :) edit- just checked, wind chill is about -36°F. Probably not walking today...

I have found ammo cans to be useful for tools and other things not used all the time. Good, waterproof storage- carry them in the fuel carriers on back of the truck.
