I leave mine plugged in while stored in the garage. Batteries are 5 years old and still work very well. In the summer they are always charged via solar.

Thanks for the info. I think the take away here is to remember the fridge is not running 24/7. It seems that18ah a day should not, on a sunny day, be to hard to overcome.

Thanks, I think the 8.9 amps you saw in the manual is rated current and I believe that is the limit of safe operation. The power draw is supposed to be around 1 amp/hour. Are you happy with your Dometic? Front opening or chest type?

Replaced a factory 12v with the Blue Sea Fast Charge 4.8. I needed to enlarge the socket hole and trim the hole in the cabinet a bit to accommodate the slightly larger size. Good upgrade from using an adaptor in the 12v socket.

FWC currently uses Blue Sea Systems ACR 7611 in the factory build. I contacted them today and found this out.
