RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West roof lifting helper shocks thingys

Anyone else find that their similar struts were stiffer at first and got "better"? I noticed that my struts got a little softer after the first few compressions.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Herdina Park/ Willow Flats Road - Arches NP

.... but the rangers at the visitor center were very negative about the road, .... I have found this to be the case at all of the national parks if you ask about going off the main tourist route. I think the rangers are strongly encouraged to keep people to the main areas of the park, for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why I like the Intermountain West / Great Basin

Here is info from the International Dark Sky Association. Dark sky info That map makes a lot more sense. On the other map maybe orange is campfires, as most of the national parks are solid orange.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Why I like the Intermountain West / Great Basin

Hmm.... What are the orange lights supposed to be? It is not cities or people because it shows a lot of orange along the north west side of Lake Superior, and I know that is not the case. You can see the white dots of the two major cities, Duluth and Thunder Bay. It almost looks like they...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Gunther Holtorf's 23-year road trip

Gunther is an inspiration. And when I watched that video it reminded me why I bought a FWC. I hope/plan to be still traveling in it in 20+ years.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Dining Table

I'm detecting signs that the pin under the table may already be starting to break. At a couple months old, that's not good. I feel better about spending so much more on the Lagun. I hope it can be fixed.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Random FWC Photos

Saved this image to my computer, grabbed it from FWC's FB page. Not too keen on the wheels, but the camper looks good on this truck. The aluminess bumper doesn't hurt either.

Optical illusion? :) Either that, or you guys have started installing industrial steel doors on the campers. ;)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West False Floor

I am a tall person, almost too tall for these campers, but I could not help but looking. Nice work! If I was not such a tall freak I would put a false floor in the whole camper and in addition to extra storage I would put a water tank under there. Maybe also a shower pan....

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fake Stone Interior Walls

When I read this last night I thought it might be some kind of spam/advertising for the fauxpanels site -- because it's such an unusual idea that I thought that that was more likely than it being sincere. But now I think it's just an original, creative idea. (like this). And I support original...

Ok, thanks for the good heads up. Working on modifying my Lagun table base at the moment. Heading out for a 3 week trip to the Pacific NW and Canada in Aug. Trying to get as much done as possible. Would be interested in seeing what you are doing/have done with the Lagun bracket.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Night light

OK, thanks. You do great work! Thanks. If you direct wire in LEDs remember that they are polarized (not sure if that is the correct term), so they will not work if the wires are switched. I do know that v-leds are reverse polarity protected, so if they do not work just switch the wires...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Night light

Do you have the same LED ceiling light that I have? If so, which socket adapter did you use? No, I put in a marine light. The unit I got had an odd bulb type (European?) so I ended up just wiring the bulbs directly. I did this by removing the socket and cutting the wire on the LED so I could...
