    Sanitized Water Tank

Scott, We've got two seasons here, camping season and ski season, when it's cold enough to freeze the tank it gets drained until the ski season is over, then back to camping.

    Sanitized Water Tank

Since we're on the subject, how often should the fresh water system be sanitized? We've been draining ours at the end of the camping season and sanitizing it before we fill it the first time in the spring.

    Mt Baker ski area Washington

I sure hope it doesn't snow all week again. The next storm is supposed to be Sunday thru Monday and then at least couple days break if not more. We need the snow but clearing the driveway, stairs, and decks every day gets old after a week straight.

    Thanks you guys

Hey Darryl, sorry it took some time to respond but I usually don't check the board after 5:00 PM and before 8:00 AM, just the habit I've gotten into.

    A question for DLN, please

Darrly, Alex just about answered your question for me but I'll respond also. I started with an add a leaf from a spring shop which took the weight fairly well but created some bucking over highway slabs. So I changed to a set of 4 heavier shocks and this slowed the bucking and added some needed...

Welcome aboard, what a great piece of luck on the camper. The change from tents, cook stoves, and cold mornings is truly a thing to appreciate. Enjoy.

    Does your floor squeak?

Good idea to check in with them but I'd say it's just the camper and truck bed getting to know each other. Let us know what they say when you do.

    Newb checking in

I don't wish to belabor this issue much more, but I put a lot of time into mocking up the dinette before I built it and 16" is just too small to be comfortable for two people. I'm sure it would be good enough for one with the other hanging their feet out in the isle, workable but not ideal. That...

    Does your floor squeak?

Ours had a small squeak after about 4 or 5 months, it was the floor plywood rubbing against the truck bed. I had some 50 mil vinyl around and cut a piece to fit under the camper, no more squeaking or rubbing.

    Newb checking in

Oops! I just reviewed the pictures of your camper and realized that FWC added about 3" of filler over the step in the area that the table base would be. So the filler would have to be removed to mount the base, not too hard to do. In fact I recently rebuilt the seat base under our front dinette...

    Newb checking in

Rad, That 16" x 16" foot area is awful small especially with the table base in there, I think they missed on that one. I just measured ours and it's 23" between seat bases with no table base and while we can both get our feet in there it's still tight. I think an improvement would be to mount...

    Newb checking in

Rad, Thanks again for posting, they did a nice job with the dinette design. I notice they also added the corner cabinet to it, that's a great piece of storage in ours. How about one of the table set up, are they still using the three piece stock table?

    Newb checking in

Rad, Welcome aboard and congrats. I'd love to see a few more pictures of the dinette FWC is building. Stan mentioned that they are offering it as an option now but has yet to post any pictures or other info. Thanks in advance.

    An Introduction and a question

Welcome to the forum and the family. The way our furnace puts out heat I'd think the only limitation on keeping the camper comfortable would be battery life and that can be solved by running the engine to recharge it. As Jay pointed out a while back we are all driving high output generators. Enjoy.

I have an idea for the do everything couch in a hawk...

pods, This is a fascinating idea, if it can be pulled off it will be the ultimate in camper versatility. Just a couple of observations/thoughts and excuse me if they've already been mentioned. 1. It appears the seat height in 4 person dinette mode is 3"-4" higher than in 2 person mode...
