    Am I Crazy?

I've got an Eagle shell on my 1st gen Tundra DC. No problem towing my Bass Boat and hauling the camper. Just kinda look at things like a backpacker and save weight where you can. No inside bathroom but you can have an inside porta pot in these things.

    Electric Roof Lift

Thanks for the response. I haven't messed with these things that much. But I know over on the garden tractor forums folks use those things instead of hydraulics to run front loaders and such. Only power available is 12 volt. They are pretty impressive.

    Hawk roof won't close properly

I'm with Bombsight on this one. Raise it back up and go over the end panel hinges with a fine tooth comb. You may have sprung (bent out of alignment) one or more of the hinges. Also look for missing screws and rivets. Even if it is bent you may be able to tweak it back into place.

I imagine you are correct! FWC tends to use quality materials. Shame many manufacturers do not.

No issues so far with my Firestone Ride Rites.

FWC factory twin battery parallel hookup question

Another option is a marine battery switch. These wire the cables into it parallel. You can choose to charge either or both batteries or disconnect both from the camper. This allows you to keep one battery charged in reserve in certain circumstances that might need that...

Monitor Battery, Solar & Truck Charging - Find Truck Wires in Fleet?

This ^ I have my 2nd battery bank monitor wire hooked up to the post at the charge relay that comes from the truck battery. That being said I haven't used it because the solar works well enough I've never run a cable for the truck charge!

Solar Electrical Array - Laid out correctly?

That's my take. On my camper there is circuit protection between all major components. If nothing else it's makes a convenient disconnect point for diagnostics. I'm more concerned with the end result of a short especially battery amperage than the wiring itself. Short a battery cable and the end...

    Fiberglass exterior reviews needed

I've had no issues with hot siding on my Eagle. But I'm not in the southwest either. The glass siding looks great. But it is heavier per the dealer. No experience with this particular glass siding. But I have several friends with travel trailers with similar hat have had problems with...

Solar Electrical Array - Laid out correctly?

I have a couple of questions. Why are you running the loads off the charge controller instead of from the storage battery? Run the loads from the battery with a large switchable circuit breaker to shut down the whole thing if needed. The charge controller is for charging the battery. Are you...

    Zero Breeze air conditioner

Interesting. Here in the muggy east that might have some use. Especially at group gatherings in campgrounds where shore power is available.

    Ever seen this?

Didn't look at this as any kind of a problem. Just a good charge up. I thought it was kind of cool.

    Ever seen this?

1st the long story. My camper has been parked in the drive for a while. The main solar panel has been shaded and the trees keep dropping needles on it. so I've been using the aux panel in the drive to keep things charged. The fridge is hooked up, loaded and running. The other day before a storm...

    Jack Brackets

Before I picked up my camper I bought a pair of aluminum extensions from a member on here who was making them at the time. I Believe they are 5"-6" wide I copied them onto some steel I had and made those an inch wider for the front. They are now permanently on my jacks. They are needed to load...
