    Propane System for Grandby Shell

You might be able to locate a small tank outside of the camper, in the truck bed, via an access port? Don't know what sort of room you have in your set up.?? Or on the back of the camper, less a hazard there than carrying an extra gas can as many do. I wouldn't worry about running the Wave at...

How about a fireplace in the camper?

Maybe, maybe not. I eat ribeyes and drink nice red wine for dinner, and have scotch and a small humidor under the couch for dessert. :D Of course, the bbq is small and gets stored on the roof, the steak is served on plastic $1 store plates, and the wine is drunk from 2-piece $1 store...

How about a fireplace in the camper?

I heard a term the other day on the news regarding luxury camping: "Glamping" I don't think too many of us can be accused of "Glamping".

Ever use an inner tube between camper overhang and truck roof?

It depends on what you know. ;) I know I don't know and I imagine there are a few others as ignorant as I :) I may still get to your neck of the woods this year. Snow flurries in Later September?

Ever use an inner tube between camper overhang and truck roof?

I've used a tube between the truck window and the camper pass through window, that works OK. Innertube on paint wouldn't be good. I suspect home made aerodynamics are not all that simple.

Dog Delivery from NM to MT

Thanks all! Hell's Canyon is a pretty cool area. Big for rafting, I just hit one spot, went for elevation as it was pretty warm, still had snow up there, beautiful little lakes. Be interesting to explore the Oregon side as well. And the pooch is doing well :D

Dog Delivery from NM to MT

Dang those were some cuts! Must have hit a jagged blow down or something at speed. That is kind of what I figured. A couple weeks before he was running crazy and ran into my trailer tongue at speed, let out a yelp from that but was good to go pretty quick. I was thinking he could have broken...

God Bless you for doing what you do!!!! I love dogs too but if I had one for 8 months there is no way I cold give him up!!! I'm embarrassed to say I have lived in Idaho all my life and still pass through Riggins several times per year and have never visited Seven Devils. But I would like to...

Dog Delivery from NM to MT

You said in your post Forest rats. Being from the midwest what are these. You have plenty, and fatter ones I suspect, good old deer. Mule Deer mostly here, especially hated when you hit one with your motorcycle  As for the dog, I've wasted money on worse, had to get him stitched, and...

Dog Delivery from NM to MT

This dog and a previous delivery were from the Catahoula Rescue. Dogs are good but their admin is shaky. Kept listing the dog in the NW and now mysteriously they seem hard to connect with after telling them I have a large vet bill. I have a feelings they'll blame me as the dog was unleashed...

Dog Delivery from NM to MT

I had this foster dog for about 8 months They finally found a home for him but in Bellingham, WA and I didn't want to stick him in a cargo compartment in the summer and I was planning to head North anyway so we agreed to make the hand off in Thompson Fall, MT. And then I bought a motorcycle in...

    Storing my camper outside

Will it not be in an area you can reach with an extension cord? If you can just plug it in for a day once a month and you'll keep the batteries topped up fine (assuming you don't have any little power draws going on, I don't in mine). Another trick if not using a good float charger is hook...

    Reflectix insulation

I usually use spray adhesive. Never thought about the headliner but if I did I'd think about little pieces of velcro, that's what I use on the windows (makes great privacy "curtains" that easily go on and off.

    Off to the Gila

I wanted to go to Snow Lake via the road to Beaverhead, because I live east of the Gila and it would have been a more direct (although slower) route. But, after seeing the flash flood watches for the area and phoning the ranger station, I chickened out. Maybe next time. Those roads can get...

    Off to the Gila

Katie was hugely entertained by a pocket gopher that was popping in and out of its burrow to gather grass just a few feet from her nose. Entertained? My dog would call that torture :o I haven't been there, may need to check it out. How come Colorado people come to NM in the summer when we...

Hatch, New Mexico, in the Food News!

Chile is pricier this year, farmers have planted more pecans (big water user!!) and cotton because the price on that is up and it does take less agua. Truth is most chile in the US is coming from Mexico. Food channel did a segment on a Hatch eatery, Sparkies BBQ, and Anthony Bourdain supposedly...

    Transmission Cooler

I just added a LPD, low pressure drop, cooler, in front of the radiator and it has drop trans temps from 20-30 degrees, very happy. $80 plus a professional install. Recommended install was from existing trans cooler (7.3) to the new cooler, to the trans. Very happy :D
