Ever use an inner tube between camper overhang and truck roof?

I'm looking to add some stability and aerodynamics and thought one large or two small inner tubes might fill the space between truck roof and camper nicely. has anyone ever tried this?

This sounds like a bad idea to me. The inner tube will grind road grit right into your paint and ruin your trucks roof.

I've used a tube between the truck window and the camper pass through window, that works OK. Innertube on paint wouldn't be good. I suspect home made aerodynamics are not all that simple.

It depends on what you know. ;)

I know I don't know and I imagine there are a few others as ignorant as I :) I may still get to your neck of the woods this year. Snow flurries in Later September?

My 1991 Dodge/Cummins has paint peeling off the body, so i don't care about damaged paint on the roof that can't be seen. i may go ahead and try an inner tube.

Can be a great time of year. Some storms can roll through, but when the weather is good it is great.
